Part of becoming a better reader is seeing reading for what it really is. You might sometimes hear someone say "the act of reading." Well, reading isn't an act. Reading is very seldom something you just do-zip-and it's over.
Like writing, reading is a process. It occurs over time-few minutes, few hours, few weeks in the case of a novel or full-length book.

Questions for Readers
Likewise, a reading process can help you with all the questions that a reader needs to answer. Look at some of them:

  • Why are you reading?
  • What do you get out of reading?
  • What kind of reading is it?

When you are writing you may have questions or here questions from other writers. here are some of the questions you may have have or here from other writers.

Reading brings you things that are meaningful. No matter what your interests are, reading helps you locate and learn about what is meaningful to you.

Reading expands your mind. It develops your thinking your thinking and stretches your imagination. It even helps you answer questions about what the best way to live your life is and what you believe in.
5. Beautytories
Reading something like a good book or article is highly pleasurable. Writers create art with words. You appreciate the work of certain writers just as you appreciate the colors of a painting.
6. Fun and Ease
Reading is a habit. It's something you do everyday. It's almost as easy and talking. You do it almost automatically.

Visualizing Reading
Visualizing reading means to picture what you are reading in your head. For example, if you are reading a book about the revolutionary war, try to picture the events inside your head. By doing that, it may help you understand you reading a little more.

Another way to visualize your reading is by taking a few minutes and sketching whats you see. It doesn't matter whether you are a good drawer or not. The drawings are just a way to show what you are visualizing while you are reading.

Here are some simple steps to whats you are visualizing while reading.

  1. Close your eyes
  2. Think about what is happening when you're reading
  3. Try to see the steps your taking when you're reading
  4. Next, sketch what happens when you are reading
  5. Then, after you have finished, take some time thinking about what your drawing tells you about the way you read

It is a tool, because it can help you perform a number of tasks. think about if you are building a model car with over 30 parts and you dont know how to build it. an instruction book will help you build it, or perform a task.
